Sitting are we … In the middle of the sea

Try to think of what pieces we could create that would be of intrigue. What plays, what frolick-some provocations, what pamphlets, what films? Pragmatically it seems the the idea of using the classic, conventional plotlines as hooks whilst surrounding them with metamodern, second renaissance ideas seems promising.

We can have the classic girl-porn of teengage romance either bad boy reformed version or the two boys both interested – think Twilight which manages to do both at different points.

We can imagine the bad boy is into communism, or better, paradigmatic civilizational renewal (we'll obviously have to find better, simpler words 😉).

Also what Martin did with this series on Amazon which was there to find Finders.

That standard model version has some secret the government is trying to suppress – combined in that case with the the batman/iron man trop of the powerful secretive super-rich figure who turns out to be on the side of good.

We (royal we here?) should be able to churn these out at a rate of knots. Still need a bit of work on the characters. That's what normally what matters, makes it a tiny bit more memorable.

I also read the The Goal recently and the approach of using a fiction structure (fairly cliched) for presenting the ideas and mathematics of process optimization was surprisingly effective, no matter how jejeune and crude the form and writing.

Could we have a Gray's anatomy for "social" healthcare? For civilizational healthcare?

Could we even use health as the example but trace causes down in to the systems (the partners in health thesis about the social causes of disease, the impacts of inequality and injustice) and go even further into the cultural roots, the views and values that create and perpetuate it.

Another direction is setting out more utopian visions. In this case the content is more explicit (rather than implicit version of the hearthrob into regenerative farming), but the form could be conventional. We can still have the romance, or the hero's journey etc etc. The difficulty i keep mentioning is that most of more popular fiction emphasises the external and one of the key features.
