How much of our resources do we spent on building nice buildings or religious monuments compared to say medieval time
Just saw Clermont Ferrand cathedral (built in 13th c). Then saw the HLM etc all around (built in 20th c). No modern buildings really compare.
Made me wonder how much of their resource (and attention) went on that and how that compares with what we spend.
